1993-1994 Nottingham Forest Third Retro Shirt
The climax to the 1993-1994 year brought major change for Nottingham Forest - relegation from the top flight and the retirement of their long-serving and legendary manager, Brian Clough. Frank Clark, a former player and left-back in the club's European Cup-winning days, took over and brought about an immediate upturn in fortunes. With latest signings like Stan Collymore, Colin Cooper, and David Phillips settling quickly, Forest shrugged off a poor start to the 1993-1994 year to improve and lose just three League games after early November. Promotion was achieved as Division 1 runners-up, and the fine form continued into their Premiership return. With Collymore even more prolific in front of goal, Forest won eight and drew the other three of their opening eleven fixtures. Nottingham Forest finished the 94-95 year in third place to earn a return to European futbol.
